Hey there, I’m Stephanie! I’m a professional photographer and graphic designer based in New Haven County, where I was born and raised. I graduated from the University of New Haven in 2022 with a major in Criminal Justice. I’d originally dreamed of becoming a homicide detective, but I probably just watched too much Criminal Minds back then. I eventually realized my true passion was in the creative arts.

 

In high school, I frequently found myself working on design and marketing-related projects. I genuinely enjoyed the work, and I found that I had a talent for graphic design in particular. Since it was too late to switch majors two years into college, I made the most of my remaining time by pursuing a Minor in Graphic Design.

 

I volunteered as the graphic designer for UNH’s Concert Planning and Promotion Course, where I designed numerous posters and marketing materials for a nonprofit concert. I completed my Honors Thesis in Graphic Design, where I took on the challenge of redeveloping inadequate designs throughout history to meet modern inclusivity and accessibility standards. Additionally, I participated in 5 design-focused internships in New Haven, which allowed me to gain hands-on experience in the industry.

 

Alongside my design work, I’ve developed a freelance photography business. Portrait photography has become my specialty, although I’ve gained experience in many other areas such as boudoir, architecture, event, and travel photography. I haven’t tried it all yet, but I’m always open to new opportunities. Over time, I’ve refined my skills and developed a passion for helping people look and feel their best in front of the camera.
